Indigenous Scholars and Allies Gathering

This gathering is a tradition at the PCWC biennial symposium across the Prairies and individuals and is limited to 60 participants with a nominal registration fee of $35. The event will be held at Mount Royal University.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THIS GATHERING?

Participants must self-select to attend the gathering, bearing in mind the following criteria:

•              Have worked closely with First Nations child and family service providers for at least 3 years

•              Have conducted or participated in child welfare research related activities involving Aboriginal children/families (e.g., data collection,       program evaluation, lead researcher, advisory committee member)

•              Be able to describe recent research-informed project(s) they've been involved in

•              Indigenous ancestry is not necessary, but many people present will be of Indigenous ancestry and appropriate protocol will be followed.
